Happy Foods

​

These are foods that improve mood by releasing hormones such as endorphin, oxytocin, serotonin and dopamine which are responsible for warding off depression and anxiety and have anti-depressant effects.  They are usually colourful, high in probiotics, anti-oxidants, and in magnesium and are alkaline-based. 

NB. Not the same as comfort foods.
